Pregnant women were not included in safety or efficacy studies for the COVID-19 vaccines, yet the CDC is still recommending that all pregnant women now get the vaccine.
Calling it urgent due to the emergence of the Delta variant of the virus, CDC officials say the vaccine is safe, despite the lack of long-term safety studies and in spite of the fact that myocarditis and pericarditis have both been found to be side effects in children who have received the vaccine.
In fact, the CDC itself reports that the heart inflammation caused by
the vaccine has been occurring in children within days after the
vaccine. While in June they only reported the adverse events in
adolescents over age 16, that was because the shot wasn’t being given to
babies at that time — so, essentially, they really have no idea if the
vaccines can cause similar cardiac events in younger children and unborn
babies.
Because of the short duration of time since children started receiving the shots, they also have no idea if the heart inflammation problems will continue long-term. Instead, they simply are telling news media that the events are “rare” and the vaccines are still safe.
